Xi wang yu hui mie / search & destroy is a new work developed by Chen Qiang and Kylie Wilkinson for Matchmaking at Suzhou Creek project. It is a 8 minute video piece consisting of interviews with six people working as labourers, artists and office workers in the local Moganshan community.

In the context of recent global events, people talk candidly about what they would destroy and build if they had unlimited power. Kylie also collaborated with Begium artist Eric Van Hove during the two week project.

Matchmaking st Suzhou Creek was a dynamic project initiated by Eastlink Gallery in Shanghai. A Shanghai Biennale satelite project, it ran from September 13 - October 10, 2004.

Twenty - two overseas artists travelled to the city in order to collaborate with local artists from the community. On the evening of September 29th an extensive exhibition opened to the public including performances, multi-media and interactive works.
